Here is my efforts on polishing the car with some good old rags !!!
Got a bit more work to do on the bonnet due to the carbon wrap being a pig to polish out correctly.

Wait - you actually polish the CF wrap? I thought it'd just need cleaning and occasional waxing!

Yeah I did, it was looking a bit tired and needed a going over. It has been on the car for a year now and I have done nothing to it apart from wash it. It is looking much better now but I just need to give it a once over again.

Also I used the Ultra deep shine stuff on the black after using the usual super resin polish and it is like a mirror now. Very good stuff and very easy to put on and buff off.

Thats sounds like a lot of work, although it does look great.
Think I'll get the rotary and pads out when i do mine though.

I had to get them things for when I spray, you can't get the shine back up to scratch without them.
Next time you can use them if you like.

Do you use the AutoGlym Extra Gloss Protection (gold label)?

I don't polish my cars with AutoGlym - I use Mer - but the EGP stuff is amazing. I only have to use it twice a year after a Megiuars clay bar.

Just noticed that you got a Black Cat, if you take a look at the Black on my car I feel it is of the same standard you have managed on your car. Dark colours always look great when polished. The black on my car looks outstanding compaired to the Silver and Orange. If I can find the stuff cheap enough I will get some in the future, but for now I got enough to last years and years of polishing.

Looking great Peter, lovely shine you have got on your Coug. Engine bay is looking sweet too, very jealous as I have been tarting mine up some more today, but in comparison looks poop!! lol I still have a long way to go with mine, so still early days. Looking forward to seeing your Coug in the flesh.

The polish I use is called Britemax and I buy it from i4detailing.com, it's great stuff. Will be clay barring mine tomorrow and then giving a damn good polish ready for Castle Combe meet.

Cheers for the comments. It will be good to see a nice shiny black cat there to look at. When clean and tidy they do look the best colour. I will take a look at that website. It will be a good meeting and a first for both me and Maurice.
Look forward to it !!!
