6 cd changer in v6

Hi I have a 6 cd changer in my v6 and a radio/cd player in the dashboard. This morning I thought I would play a cd by putting it directly in the radio/cd player but it didnt seem to take the cd and pull it in as other car radio/cd players do, so I was reluctant to just push it in incase I couldnt get it out!!

My question is - should the radio/cd player had taken the cd in or because of the cd changer this has been disabled?

Should still play cd in the head unit with changer connected

thanks, iv had the v6 for about 8 months & never tried playing a cd in the head unit. I think I'll try a cd player cleaner in it and see how it goes.

What model head unit have you got ?

Might be stupid but are you sure it hasn't got a CD in it if you have never used it

Iv got the 6000, never thought there may be one in it already, I will check it out tomorrow, could easily be one in there from the previous owner

Just reporting that everything is now sorted. I pushed the eject button 2 or 3 times and that seemed to wake it up and now works perfectly. Many thanks for your help guys
