Twelve months ago I bought C2 V6.Not knowing alot about Cougars, it took me no time at all to find this forum. I quickly joined, then just as quick, paid my subscription.
I must say, over the past year I've met some great people, learned a great deal about running a Cougar, attended a couple of car shows and even been able to help someone who owned a Cougar based DNA Ferrari.
My ownership hasn't been without problems though.
New coil pack, plugs, leads, 2 ABS hubs, pair of drop links and a llambda sensor.
Apart from that, 12 months of fun, face grinning V6 motoring.
I give my utmost thanks to everyone who was able to offer help, advice, expertise and sometimes free odds and ends.
I've watched the threads as people have given up valuable time with no expectation, apart from the obligatory bacon sandwiches.
This club is one of the few truly selfless groups out there, and everyone has made me so welcome from day one. Thank you.
Now to the hard bit.
Today I said goodbye to EU51 YVD, my ebony indulgance.
She's gone to a new home.
Will I miss her? Of course I will.
I've now gone back to single car ownership, and Mrs Scott has a 3 door Freelander to keep her occupied for now. Once the insurance pays out, she may trade it against something else.
Or then again, she may keep it and blow the money on our summer holiday.
I have passed all details of the club over to her new owner.
Hopefully he may find his way here.
I'll still pop on here from time to time, as I do enjoy seeing projects develop.
Once again, a big thank you for the last year.
Paul
