Today I have had my car repaired, for the second time in a week, for free, by the amazing people of UKCougar.

Not just any old job, a full on ballache of an alternator swap, the one job everyone loves to hate, on a Sunday, and at the drop of a hat's notice too.

I love the fact that we all help each other out in such an amazing way.

If you're a lurker here or have never got involved in a meet, make this the year you get stuck in. I promise you will absolutely be repaid and then some.

I have never in my life known a place like this where you meet people who become friends for life, and who give up their time over and over again sharing knowledge and parts and help and for no more than a few bacon rolls and cups of tea!

God bless you all :)

Totally agree, Al. This is what we do. And this is how we do it.

Are you a new member? Well that's great. Can you spanner? Can you cook? Can you at least make tea?

We don't let go. Ever.

Its the best feeling in the world to help people , even if its only to lend an ear , and this has to be the Shangri La of all car clubs

i hope this gives rich the assurance that his old car is in good hands here dan saaff.

As someone who has benefitted from said generosity several times I can only endorse steve's post.

It all started for me when Bobster helped out with cat1 - the old drop links tapping.

We then had the breaking of cat2, and the story went on. I am not going to start naming names as I am bound to forget someone who has kindly offered their time for no financial recompense.

You know who you all are.

Unerring help from people who I have no hesitation in calling friends.

Doesn't even have to be cougar stuff.

Totally. Mrs W's Puma can attest to that.

To echo everyone else's sentiments, I certainly feel very fortunate to have found such a bunch of welcoming, friendly, generous, helpful people, and I've learnt so much since joining up - something I'll always be grateful for.
