And was lodged inside the now broken little black plastic panel nearest the floor drivers side. What is the correct name for this panel ?

I had a pheasant take out the front spoiler on a Porsche I once owned.
Explosion of feathers.

My brother had a run in with a deer which wrote off his Ford Orion then got up and walked away.

No idea what the panel is.
Let's just call it the coffin lid till you post some pics.

I clobbered one square on the headlamp on the way to Combe. I was expecting to arrive with a totalled front end but not a scratch - phew!

This is what I found after work, about 2 months ago. Luckily it didn't dint the boot, but I had to use t-cut to remove all the blood stain though!

What is wrong with these birds?

One flew out of the bushes last weekend and it wasn't stopping. I didn't want it going under the car or into the grills, so I put the hammer down and it bounced right off the door and flapped back into the bushes. It's probably responsible for one of the numerous marks on the drivers side.

My Cougar has a bit of a taste for duck, however. It's eaten a few of them, and coughed up some feathers when I was cleaning it this weekend.
