is the standard factory fitted alam/immobiliser thatcham approved?. doing the insurance questionaires on line, based on my reg no, comparethemarket think it is.
 
no, standard fit stuff isn't. Plus in order to verify it to your insurers you need an installation and test certificate.
 
The standard alarm/immobiliser is equivalent to Thatcham category 2. As far as insurance is concerned just say (or tick appropriate box) it's the factory spec anti-theft kit.
 
i just ticked the factory fitted standard spec box. Given that some of these auto fill forms say I've got a 5 seater cougar i can't help question some of the quotes.: 9+ no claims, 45 years old, £11000.???
guess they don't want me as a customer
