Well 149,000 miles and despite a close shave on the emissions she's got another years ticket. Really chuffed as the tester told Keely (the boss / wife) that he thought my Cat was in amazing condition for a 13 year old car and really showed how well looked after she was.

Emissions I put down to the plugs being due a good clean, engine need ing a bit of a burn and the cone air filter due a change / clean, so not too worried that it took a couple of goes.

4 Advisories and only 1 that I hadnt predicted:

OSR ARB bush shows play

NSR ARB bush shows play

OSR Tyre nearing limit

OSF Track rod end shows play (not predicted, I thought it was the drop links that had gone)

I got 2 advisories last year, slow acting handbrake and front to back brake pipe corrosion. Well i'd reconned the handbrake mechanisms in situe and gave the brake pipes a bit of a clean up (thanks Tony for pointing out where it would be). I will do the same this year and sort all the advisories - is it worth changing both track rod ends?

One thing i do every other year is wire brush, krust and hammerite (with waxoyle in) the subframes - front 1 year and rear the next, as well as giving the roll bars, trailing arms the same treatment. This seems to give a lot of benefit for very little work.

Feeling bloody chuffed with the cat i just wish the Mazda was as simple (but thats another story)

Nice one Geoff, always a relief (y)

Well worth changing both track rod ends and getting the wheel alignment done seeing as you already have new bones of wishness (y)

The bones of Hellness you mean, I was thinking the same though change them both, might do the front drops at the same time as I already have them (even though he didn't pick them up I still think they're slightly titsed)
