Anyone out there just bought S847XOP

Just wondering. This was one I'd agreed to buy from Rob Fiddler of Thimble End Motor Company (Lea Marston, near Sutton Coldfield) on the condition he got it MOTd before I collected it. I got an email from him the following day (26th October) saying

I'm sorry to tell you but someone has gone into the side of the car on my way to the mot station.
there is quite a decent amount of damage so i will have to cancel the deal with you .

Must've got it fixed fairly quickly though as it was MOTd on 4th November in Stoke-On-Trent.

The dealer probably sold it as spares/repair and the new owner has sorted it out (the MOT, not the side impact ).

I would be surprised if he was telling the truth; I suspect he sold it to someone who didn't mind it not being MOTd, for the same price as I said I'd have it at with a new MOT. The MOT had 6 weeks or so left to run. It's always a possibility he was telling the truth and passed it on to someone who fixed it up.

I'll keep an eye out for it in S-o-T, if I see it I'll let you know if it's running about with a big dent in it!
