Well it seems like my heater / blower fan is on its way out. It'll work for a few minutes after starting the car from cold bit then eventually (within about 10 minutes or so) grind itself down to an halt and annoying chirpy noise.

I'm guessing it's not the famous resistor problem as it works initially. . So I guess the motor is overheating and conking out? I'm no engineer though lol

How much of a pig of a job is it to change and I'm guessing your standard mk2 Mondy one one fit due to the SATC?

Anyone tackled this job before because I have not got a clue where to start :/

Not sure if there's a. Howto for this but from what I remember take the glovebox away by removing three torks bolts from the hinge. You can now access the motor.The motor is held in by three bolts iirc.
This should hopefully get you on your way.
