Axle stand points

Hi,

Kinda stupid question, but I'll give it a try :)
I got a pair of axle stands, I want to raise the front end as high as possible, so I could move under the car easily. When I raise the car with the jack (typical jacking point) all the way up - whole side of the car raises from the ground (both wheels). I know that rear wheel will go down when I will raise another side of the car, but still... maybe there is a spot where I could place those axel stands as close to the front end as possible? Maybe You have some pics how You supported Your cougars? Mine will have to stay on them for a month or so (changing struts, springs, and everything, on my spare time, and I have not much of it), so I dont want to damage or bend the frame or anything else there, maybe You could share Your experience :)

Thanks!

I always support mine on the main chassis rails, right at each end before they kick up, and use thick card/cloth to stop the paint getting scratched.

If you have access to an owners manual/handbook there is a diagram showing the recommended forward support positions more or less where Steve has described above.

Actually i did the same - chasis rails just before they go up - they are thickest there, so I think I will be fine :)
