back garden fabricated exhaust...with only the middle silencer :)

Thats loud, but not quite as loud as I was expecting, it's proberly a lot louder in the flesh. Liking it though - good job!
 
can you tell us mere mortals exactly how you did it, and where you got the 2nd exit pipe from please?

andy....have a look on my profile album, i fabricated a Y piece and fitted it just after the exhaust centres itself after the fuel tank, after that each tail pipe is exactly the same, any more info required...just gimme a shout
 
Just a note, that if your going to put rear boxed on both pipes, you may need to cut off the towing eye, as most of have had done when we had our MIJ systems fitted, as it was in the way.
 
ive just avoided that (by about 15mm) with the nearside pipe, if i do put boxes in they will be just after the Y piece slightly off centre so they fit, im gonna hack the tail pipes off though and put a 3inch slash cut pipe on each side and take them in a bit and up also....next time the weathers good and time permits anyway!!!

?????....well, MIJ cut off something from underneath, as they did with other people, I was sure it was the rear towing eye. I'll have a look at my pic's and see if I can show you what I mean.

That would be the machine hooks Tim. The towing eye does bolt up with three bolts iirc. I took mine off when i did my first home made dual exits.

Aha! thanks Al, that's what it was, was it - I thought they were towing eye's...OFS! setting in yet again...











I'll just go back to my corner and sleep! lol
 
Maybe one of the studs for the towing eye. I think one of them pokes out from the spare wheel well near to where the left silencer would go.
My Blueflame (left rear silencer) has enough clearance so the stud is still present on mine.
Maybe we should compare at Fest.

i was tempted to remove it but didnt as i dont know if it would affect a track day???? as tow points are required? i plan to take it round oulton park to see if i can get anywhere near my dads time in his race car... anywhere near meaning 30 secs haha

Easy mistake to make Tim, a lot of people mistake the towing eye for a rear crossmember :LOL:

I've been on a Track Day at Castle Combe only the other month, they didn't check that on my car! lol
 
found a spare minute after work to alter my exhaust again as i wasnt keen on the rolled tips, and they were a tad long so took an inch off and slash cut, im pretty happy with them now
