Yes, a good buy! (If not a downright 'steal')
Just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
Who would've imagined that to be 'friendly' North Belfast?
I'll have some fun with this car picking my two younger kids up from school, and taking them to the odd weekend car/bike show!
My 18 yr old son is doing his driving test shortly, and would love to borrow it,
but insurance in N.Ireland is crazy at the minute for young men, so he'll have to stick with the 1,000cc Suzuki Swift.
I've been a petrolhead since before my first 50cc motorbike (NOT moped) in 1972!
I'm into Classic American V8 'Muscle' machines, and have a few.
I'm into 'trikes' and have a few. (Who said Billy Connolly, he's a 1990's Triker, I built my first VW Trike in 1981, and still have it in the fleet)
I'm into 'bikes' and have a few. (Harley V-twins, and Boss Hoss V8s. Yes, you read it right, 5,700cc Chevy V8 2-wheelers!)
I don't smoke, I don't drink and I don't go with bad women, but I do enjoy my wheels!
The Cougar is my first 'modified' car.
2000 registered 2.5 V6 manual Cougar X-Pack
Main Mods:
Full Bodykit (with optional rear light masks, and optional rear light 'eyebrow extensions' to match boot lid spoiler extension)
18" Rims with well treaded low profile tyres
Stainless Dual Exhaust pipe system with 4" outlet tips
Four Corner Rayvern Hydraulic suspension system with fluid reservoir tank and 4 hydraulic rams remote mounted in floor of boot
This Cougar needs:
- a bit of general TLC including tidying a few cosmetic cracks where the bodykit molds to the body. (don't lower it down when over frozen snow!)
- a bit of paint chip touch-up, and a T-Cut and polish,
- a set of softer springs in the remote rams to soften up the ride - its rock hard. (Should be a straightforward fix. I've already spoken to Rayvern)
- replacement of a few running light bulbs
Other than that it just needs driven!
- I've attached a couple of pics from the seller, though you guys seem to know this car well.
- I've also attached a recent pic of me 'just landing' after blasting the V8 Hog down from the hills into Belfast.
(Right! - Can't seem to manage attaching the pics - can anyone tell me how it's done on this forum)
Talk to you soon.
