Hi guys, hope you can help it's driving us mad. The central locking stopped working which we discovered was the 20 amp fuse in the passenger fuse box that had blown. We changed it but it keeps blowing, it's auto transmission and we have eliminated the gear selector module from the same circuit. The boot release button doesn't work either and the alarm doesn't arm and the immobiliser light on the dash remains on constantly with a slight flicker. It all just stopped working last week. Any ideas would be great.

20amps is a lot in some respects, that's roughly 250W so something is drawing a considerable amount of current, especially between two locks.

My first test would be to unplug each lock in turn and see which is popping the fuse.

Do you have a multimeter?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Can you lock the doors individually with the key in the lock but not remotely?

Sounds like one of your door solenoids has ceased to function.

The doors can be locked with the key, can't use the remote as that stopped working a while back, thought that was the battery but still doesn't work after changing it. So can't test that unfortunately.

Yeah got a multimeter, will try that on each lock tomorrow and see what it throws up. Ta

Thanks for the info, gonna try these options tomorrow, if it still doesn't work I'll come back and pick your brains some more. Cheers
