Changing flexi brake lines

I am thinking of getting some Goodridge stainless steel braided flexi brake lines for our cat.

The parts work out to about £70-£80, fair enough.

Can someone tell me how long it should take to replace all four and bleed the system/put new fluid in?

Ford reckon it's about a 5 hour job and would cost around £500ish... That can't be right, can it? The guy I spoke to seemed a bit clueless so I'm just wondering if he was on about changing the copper pipes as well!

I couldn't be arsed to do it myself, been quoted £50 in Labour if I supply the brake fluid for topping up.

It took me about two hours, and that included taking a caliper off to the bench to release a seized bleed nipple. Providing parts are free to turn, allow yourself a day for this job unless you are confident, then a morning or afternoon session will see it done.
