Was mooching online during my lunch break yesterday, and this came up under an image search for Mercury Cougar.

Now I don't know about you, but as far as automotive porn goes, this is up there with the best. I admit to nursing a semi.........

1968 Mercury Cougar.jpg

It's a piece of 3D rendering prepared for an individual with plans to build the mother of all Mercury Cougars featuring a NASCAR-Spec tuned engine belting out around 700 horsies.......that's almost as much as Mofo had at the wheels of GG before her untimely demise

More info and pictures here.

Its the details, I dont like the 68 model as much as the 67 model, I would make a replica of Dan Guerney's race car, pickings for good condition 67's is very very slim, for a 68 model it would have to be a XR7-G, I wont post a picture cause that should be in the over 18's

I must admit, I do love American Muscle cars! Although the Mercury Cougar of old is very cool, I much prefer the SS Camaro's, the Hemi's and the Dodge Challengers.....Droooooool.....lol Also love of course the Mustangs, especially the 1967 Mustang Shelby 500

Did you know that the car Eleanor was actualy built by Chip Foose and they made I think it was 8 of them just for the film ....... Chip Foose what a legend lol

Absolutely!! If ever there was one designer that I would want to "re-build" my Coug it would be Chip Foose and the Overhaulin' team.

JJ, where was that photo taken? It looks familiar, maybe Hartington?

Not sure googled it dude, in reality I would prob follow in my dads footsteps with an old ford, I would love a big V8 ford F150 proper oldie with the narrow body and box arches, Dad has a model A with a 8.3 V8 amongst other toys lol.

Chargers rule in black with billets and a hood scoop.
