My cat is pritty spotless apart from the dings in both doors can hardly be seen but I know it's there. Iv been trying to get people out dent people etc and because one of the dents is so close to the seem edge it can't be pulled would need filled.
so what's the best option I have know idea how to change a door and don't like the idea of filler?
i think at this time of year it will no doubt get fixed after new year but what route if I post a wanted add and drove down south would people be willing to help swap doors or should I get the dent filled?
 
Filling a dent is easy, it's the paint colour match that will cause the problem and add costs if you have it done by a pro.
Changing a door is very easy, but easier with two pair of hands as they are heavyy.... but again you have to be carefull with colour matching ie: all frosty's are not equal. I've lost count of the number of frosty's in particular i've seen with mis=matched panels.
Find a door with a good match and swap it over. I can swap a cougar door in 30mins by myself, longer if i have help :)

That's always a start but as you know, all frosty's for example are coded TU, but the variation in actual shade is madness. Some are just more grey than silver. Also, the melina blue (blurple) you will find are visually different although the slam panel says they are exactly the same. Ebony is probably the easiest to match.
 
Thanks bud not the easiest of tasks then will keep an eye open for a silver frosts breaking up here but if no joy it will just have to get filled next year
 
Filler doesn't have to be 'bad', a lot of repairs require a skim of filler even where new steel is welded in/bolted on.

As said, the spraying will be the problematic bit rather than skimming a dent.

Silver is a nightmare in any car, I think it is to do with the fact it relies almost solely on the aluminium fleck in the paint to produce the colour so I guess theoretically it could even change shade with the way it is sprayed or how it's dried?
