Cougar Roof Rack?!?!

Hello, can any one help?

I'm desperately trying to source a roof rack for my Mark2 2001 Ford Cougar. I've searched high and low online and found nothing in the UK market. Does anyone now if the Mondeo fitting Roof Rack will fit the Cougar, I asked Ford but they didn't know...

There are only genuine Ford roof bars available for the Cougar.
Genuine Mondeo or aftermarket ones won't fit correctly due to the slope at the rear of the Cougar roof requiring specifically shaped feet.
 
Yep, they're the only ones that fit.
Only place you'll find them now is on here or eBay,
They aren't very common and usually go for around £50 upwards
 
one of the supplements that came in handbooks states thet the max load on bars is 50 kilo's which is low compared to most

Edit:- can't rember if that includes bar will see if i can find it

According to the actual handbook the max. permissible load is 75kg incl. the bars.

I'm loving the official Cougar Roof Rack on the Mach2. If it wasn't a rare breed already it certainly is now!!! Thank you!!!
