Cup Holder

Has anybody had any sucess with installing cupholders?

I like a big bucket of Costa on a long drive

I know you can get ones that clip to the air vents, but they don't look very sturdy and I'm not sure they would fit the round vents anyway

Matt, US Cougars had the option for an OEM one which emerges from the centre console beside the handbrake. Imagine the shaped area around the pen holder lifting out of the console and flipping open to form a circle into which you could place your cup. Not a brilliant set-up and known commonly in the States as 'cup spillers'. To go down that route the easiest way it's to find a Mk1 Mondeo centre console because those bits we're removeable in them as oppose to being moulded in the Cougars. The cup holders turn-up quite regularly on US ebay. I'm pretty sure there is a How-To somewhere in the relevant section.

...or was that a TOMTOM satnav holder? I know where it is anyway,( well, where i last saw it) so i'll nip up and see if it's still there or if i binned it.
