Seriously looking into getting a car with 4/5 proper seats & 4 doors, as the passengers i end up taking are complaining about the cougar, & having tried to get in & out of the back seats, i can see why. Anyway, having had a look around, the ST220 fits the bill nicely, but if anyone has any experience of these, or heard of any particular problems to look out for, i'de be thankful of the info ?

Just the crank problems with neglect or just go for st 150 one but i'm afraid it is run on deisel

Lol. I have the MMT6 transmission in my Mondeo mated to a 2.5 Duratec, last incarnation of the C2 lumps. I actually prefer it to the MTX75. If you're looking for an early ST then the specs were all fairly similar, if however you're after a later one, try and hold out for one with some toys, it'll be worth the wait. If you wanted, and it helped, you're welcome to come and have a look over my car and I'll happily take you out in it. I have a 2004 Ghia X Estate that is fully loaded with almost all the extra options that were available when it was new. I too was after an ST however the refinement of the Ghia X and for the sake of 50 ponies I went for comfort and toys. Purely when we go away, I'd rarer that little extra luxury for me and my family over slightly chunkier bumpers and a marginally quicker car. A top spec Ghia X will command similar money to an ST or depending on year you may consider a Titanium X. They were available with the 3.0 engine in them and the 2.2TDCi.
