Garage heaven

I did an oil drop on Mako and his Vauxhall Astra sister (Arsey) last weekend. I put my back out trying to remove the Astra's seized sump plug, so I called for help from my brother-in-law. Twenty minutes later she was here...

I've never worked in a pro garage before, but good lord I hope to again... Have you ever seen anything so clean?

Well it is a VW dealer's garage...

That bothered me a bit. I was (wrongly) worried about Arsey nosing over to the floor as we lifted her.

As it goes, there's these things they call "chocolate blocks" that fit under the jack points and flex to hold the car stable.

Jacked cars scare me a bit, but I've never felt safer under a motor.
