After fitting some 18's that were the wrong offset (they turned out to be ET16:eek:) and perservering with the strange steering feel, and rear arches rubbing, I finally threw in the towel and bought some 18's that are the right offset. Really chuffed with them, and was going to post in the wheel pic section, but whilst going through the old pics, I noticed that they're the same as Mike's (Cougar571). Oh well, great minds think alike. Anyway here are a couple of pics, the good news is I can now lower my car, which I won't have been able to do with the last wheels.

BTW I know the car needs a wash. :p

Definitely, I knew the offset had to be ET36-ET46 before I bought the last set of wheels, but the picture on Ebay showed them on a MKII Mondeo, so I thought they'd be O.K..

Nice wheels Steve....and Al, if you think that Cougar is dirty, i aint posting any pics of mine they are caked! Dogsbody stylee lol

Looks good mate - they are similar to the ACE 201's i had on mine.

One thing to check though mate and it may be me being a muppet but is that front tyre on the correct side of the car - they look asymmetric and if they are there will be a rotation arrow on the side of the tyre showing forward rotation. Sorry I may be being stupid but the front looks like it would push water into the middle of the tyre not out to the side
