Got it right this time.

Looking good Steve, what you could always do in the future to make yours look a little different from Mikes, it to spray them a nice graphite/gunmental grey, think that would really suit your car. How low are you thinking about going?? If your on 18's I would suggest about 30mm, otherwise your going to get a really harsh ride. Mine is bad enough on 17's with a 45 profile and lowered 30mm on PI springs.

Re: What Rich has advised above - think he maybe right - would check rotation of tyres.

Looks good mate - they are similar to the ACE 201's i had on mine.

One thing to check though mate and it may be me being a muppet but is that front tyre on the correct side of the car - they look asymmetric and if they are there will be a rotation arrow on the side of the tyre showing forward rotation. Sorry I may be being stupid but the front looks like it would push water into the middle of the tyre not out to the side

I checked long and hard before deciding on what side to fit them, as the arrows on the side are double headed which I guess means they're not directional. (which would seem strange given the tread pattern) My thinking went along the lines of the groove at the inside of the tyre will come into contact with the road before the outside, so effectively the water will be squeezed outwards.

Tim, I was only looking at going 30-35 mm, just so the wheels sit up in the arches a bit more, from talking to Mike last year, we came to the conclusion his was lowered 40mm, as the top of his rear wheels are actually covered by his arches.

Tony, definitely food for thought, as just lowering the front would shift the weight balance forward which might give me better traction for the 0-60's ;) although ultimate handling balance would suffer a bit.

Steve - what brand tyres are they matey? as I was thinking about buying a 5th alloy, but didn't want a "rotational" tyre. Been told by a couple of differerent tyre places that most if not all tyres are rotational, but they do make a non-rotational tyre, but they are very expensive. So, would be interested to find out what they are? and how much they cost per tyre?

They're Vredsteins Tim, and they came off the last set of wheels I had. Without looking, I think they're called Sessanta's, but could check if you'd like.

checked it out mate - doesnt seem to matter

"The new Vredestein Sessanta is an asymmetric tyre, so as opposed to being directional it has an inside and outside. "Inside" is printed so that tyres are fitted correctly. Because of the unique design of the tyre there is no need for a left and right side, the special "footprint" helps to dispel water effectively."

Well, these came almost brand new with my last set of wheels, and were swapped onto my new wheels, certainly make my last set of wheels look like a cheap buy.

That's for sure, at £500 for a complete set, they are a tad expensive! lol

These tyres are fitted to the 350z I'm tooling around in and they are great tyres very grippy although not much warning as traction breaks goes very quickly.

You need to learn how to balance that heavy right foot of yours! lol :)
