Grubby black strip

This has been bugging me ever since I got the car ..So thought I'd have a go at sorting out the Black strips above the Doors ..I actually thought these were metal and found out they were rubber (Not bad had the car for over a year and didn't realise this ) anyhow used some 50p asda instant shoe shine and jobs a gooden

Nice one Sean. These are actually alluminium rails with rubber skins bonded to them. The adhesive reacts with the ally which causes the rash. Keep the polishing up and it should stay looking good.

Aha so that's why they look like that cheers for that ...You should see my mate Jose's strip on his passenger door his one has bubbled up ..I'll try get a picture of his one tomorrow

Yes Andy, i've done a few now and providing the exchange ones are servicable £35 pair. I don't want to turn Seans thread into a sale so i'll start a new one in the appropriate section.
