They have got 30% off all there motor oils right now, but the best part is when you put any oil into your basket they knock another 30% off again. I just bought 4 5L mobil Super 3000's X1 for £20.99 then they come down to £14.69 each. This is a glitch and will not be around for long. Fill your boots while you can !!!
 
After their recent 'glitch' with the free tyres, the chances of them honouring this promotion is somewhere between zero and f**k all :rolleyes:

Well I order it for home delivery and paided in full. We will see what happens but worth a punt........... We are not talking about a free product here, but a discounted one. If it comes off I will be sorted for my next 3 oil changes on the car.
 
Many many thanks (y) .. I've reserved to collect mine later today :) .. it would be against trading standards for them not to honour this deal - It's their mistake :)
 
Well at least some of you found it usefull. If they do go through with the deal then it is a cracking deal for that kind of quality oil.
 
Thanks for the tip off. Collected 15 litres for £44. Didn't think they would honour the price but the guy didn't even register how cheap it was.
 
picked mine up this afternoon, guy said i had got a bargain as it was double discounted by accident, they realised this morn when they had preorders for 20 drums of oil from various people, but they honoured the deal for all those that had reserved, so i got myself a bargain, cheers peter
 
Well I am very pleased some of you had the sense and gave this a go. Sometimes these kind of mistakes do happen with big online shops and they do go through with it. Glad I got what I wanted and other also did the same as I did.
 
difference between this and the tyre fiasco is, that if they physically take and confirm payment, they have to honour it, as per their own t's and c's

Sometimes this is the problem with this club. You try to post up something of use to everyone and you get shot down. I have had this in the past with another oil deal that was really good value.
Well I am very happy now. I get to put the very best oil in my car for very little outlay. £120 of oil for under £60. Bargain !!!

Thats a shame. Halfords have realised what they have done and changed it back to normal now. I just hope more people saw this and jumped all over it. I have told many friends about it and 1 or 2 have bought loads to flog on to make a few pennys because the deal was that good.
Halfords must have lost money on this mistake seen as it is Mobil oil we are talking about here. They usually retail at over £36 each normally.
 
Chris, Ford original spec for the Cougar is for semi-synthetic, Formula E; it's only since they moved onto Formula F, fully synthetic, that people have started to use the fully synth stuff. If yours has been on the semi upto now as long as the Halfords stuff matches Ford spec it should be fine.
 
As good as this deal is, its always worth remembering you can always get 5L of Formula F from eBay for around the 20quid mark, I don't use anything else.
 
Cheers, no idea whats in there at the moment, this was only a top up, before I do a change. For that i'll just get the one above (fomula FE for £20.99). Off to halfords to get some now... In the mrs's car. Hope i dont get spotted.
