Hi there :)

Guess it's a little late but anyways! I own a cougar since a year ( May 2012 i believe... ) and it's been sitting pretty in my garage! Pretty banged that is... Has had a rough life clearly and is gonna get all the love it does deserve. Absolutely love it! :)

Hope you guys will help me through it all since there's only been 209 Cougar's sold in Holland...

Well, cyaround guys!

Ha ha , that's the fun of it!
Some ppl on these forums have done miracles with their cougars!
Keep at it , you will get there mate.

i sure will... its a real banger though haha... innerwheel arches let loose... the lip let loose... dent in the left rearflank... 3 scratches at the right flank... stonechips on the hood... corroded rims... rust near the windshield...faded windowrubbers... louzy paint... 2 broken mirrorhousings... dont get me started about the interior!.. wornout driver chair... smokingburns throughout the interior... some kind of mold in the back...

so im gonna keep being at it for many months to come haha!

Ummm lol, in that case , maybe use it as a scrap/donor vehicle and search for a better example with the money you would spend on doing that one up! That is if you can find a better example due to it being a rare beast and even rarer in your country!
Good luck.

well... the car is pretty much complete... interior is done, my engine is done, transmission is renewed and provided off stage I clutch... head is ported and flowed by a friended company... the valve springs are nicely new and tougher... complete redone exhaust system... and...

it crashed... total loss and bye bye -.-

was driving on the autobahn near leipzig... A38... and it came to a standstill at HMP 200,6 ( ironically enough that is a SOS post )

when i drove it past thursday ( 19 march ) around 5 AM something sharp/"big" struck my right front tire ( barely 3 months old ) and it blew at well over 170KMH which according to my calculator tool is 105.66something MPH...

with the traffic surrounding me i thought it was safer to follow the rulebook... so i steered as good as possible towards the grass lane made for stopping after issues with your car... without being able to see that it went down 1.5m... and after 5m there was a completely useless stupid hole... 50cm deep... 1m wide... 3 meters in length roughly... and my car ran straight across it...

the impact shattered my 2 front rims... airbags blew ( thank you for the white hideous smelling smoke btw ford, allthough i did land nice and soft in them...! ) my car started to slide... a quarter around its axle... at the last 45* to the left my right rear tire drilled itself into the soft muddy ground... the shock absorber snapped... the tire and suspension system digged itself under my car bringing it to a standstill only a few meter away from a second way deeper hole...

total damage...:

dashboard broken in 3 pieces, need new airbag units, K frame broken on 3 places, outlet manifold along with most off the exhaust torn away from under the car, front bumper died, rear bumper on the right side does not connect to the bodywork anymore,

END PART ONE

Sorry to hear of your accident and the damage to your car; it sounds like it could of been much more serious. I hope you are OK.
