Hearthy hello from The Netherlands!

PART II

( my chrome didnt like this much text... )

my fuel tank came loose on the left side ( tire and suspension did that probably ), fuel lines are dented and unhooked from system, brake-lines where dangling behind the car, transmission housing cracked, geometry off all suspension is off, rear strutbrace is damaged from the taken away shock absorber, all rims are broken in at least 2 pieces, all tires died...

i probably forget a lot more... maybe some pictures would help you getting an idea..

PART III

i was lucky on a few parts... if the tire bursted 150m further? bridge elevated 10m above working ground and dry river bedding...
if the car slipped a few meter more? nasty 2m hole...
if i didnt avoid that hole? probably flipped...

in responce to some comments i saw... i have a few bruces (?) to my right arm from knocks given through the steering wheel... my girlfriend has a nice ( by now yellow green ) mark on her arm from hitting her knee ( she slept on the passenger seat, thankfully not with her legs on the dashboard... :) )

so yeah... could've been worse... but ill miss this car a awfull lot...

i know... now i get to look for a new one though... and they arent that easy to come by left handed in decent shape... :) so until then i ordered myself a mitsubishi galant ( look the look ) until i find a decent new cat... which my girlfriend refuses to sit in allready cause she liked "Betsy" <- dont ask... stupid name!

Sorry to hear about your accident, at least both of you are alright. Cars can be re-built or at least buy another one, you only have one life. Best of luck to you for the future.

I won't apologise for being a sentimental old fool. The accident vehicle's last act was to do exactly what she was supposed to - protect you when it all went wrong. Between your quick thinking and the car's active and passive measures, you and your girlfriend are alive.

I'm glad you're okay and, although it's a sad loss after so much work, I'm very happy that you're back in the saddle so quickly. Happy trails!

In that sense, welcome back! Glad you got a replacement, Cougars are a rare sight in the Netherlands, so it's good to see there's still so much love for this model.

Very sorry to hear that you crashed your cat. I'm glad you still have your health and that the outcome wasn't worse. Our cats look after us, that much is certain!
