Hi all, I was wondering if it was possible to swap my non heated screen for a heated one. I have a 1999 2.5, the screen has a chip and small crack on the drivers side and has delaminated round the edges quite a lot so I will have to get it changed anyway. I'm not sure if the insurance will fit a heated one for me. Has anyone had this done and does the car have all the relevant wiring in place ? Thanks for any help you can give me:LOL: ukmarco20

Hi Marco and welcome,

As a fairly new Cat owner myself I am in the process of doing the same thing, for the same reasons, you'll be glad to hear the wiring is already in place, but if you don't have them you'll need the 30amp Grey relay part number 1033455 new their about £50 but are usually on ebay around the £10-20 price and 2x 30amp fuses and the dash switch Ford part number 1115765 which is for both heated front & rear but non TCS button, if you have TCS you'll need a different part number, these are very pricey new at almost £90.00 but they sometimes come up on Ebay, I got a brand new one recently for £25.00.

I'm going to get mine done on the insurance soon-ish, and I know Pid_16V had his done the same way, from previous posts about this, i expect he'll be along shortly to confirm this :)

Good luck

Hi ukmarco20 and welcome to the home of the Cougar.

I have the 4 switch bank with the heated front and rear screens and T/C if and when you are looking for one. Don't know about the relay though, I will have to have a look in the garage.
