Hello and welcome aboard Sean, not sure what all the crashes and bangs are about? possibly something a bit loose with the components at the rear end? Anyway, sounds quite a bargain for that price and from looking at the pic's looks to be in pretty good shape. First mod though mate - get rid of those fried eggs on the side wings...they are nasty! lol There are loads of cheap replacements in various different colours, Blue, Black, Smoke, White, Crystal etc. Hope to see you at some of this years meets.

Welcome to the club mate

The banging will most likely be knackered rear drop links (rubber bushings wear out) a nice easy cheap fix and the smoke is condensation caused by the long exhaust which is more noticeable when it's cold

Sounds like you got a bargain mate

Cheers chaps
Looking forward to spending more time on here looks like a haven for advice

Ta fella's for the welcome ..the plans I have for this car is to try get it back to factory condition as I'm not really into modifying it up too much ...I bought the car off a work mate a Spanish guy called Jose ...he only owned it for about 7 months he put new tyres and got the cam belt change ..but he said it was a hassle getting his 2 Rottweilers in the back of it ..he was selling it for £900 ...but said I could have it for £700 ...so thought it would be rude not to accept his offer ,
The wife loves the car even though ideally we wanted a Mondeo because we have a Doberman ...but overall I'm glad we got this car
Oh the noisy back end it sounds more like the exhaust is rattling around I changed one of the mounts still got to do the other 2
