Hi All, just a simple "HELLO" from a new owner in South Wales.
My blue V6 X pack used to live in N wales, but was moved South buy an older gent who's Wife couldn't get in and out too easily so he promptly sold it to me.
I'm pleased with it so far, maybe it's got a rumbling wheel bearing and I wish it had some more grunt at low revs but does nicely higher up the rev range. :)

Hello Mabo and welcome to the forum.
There's at least a couple of other members in South Wales, Peter Froud and Maurice are down your way.

Hi, welcome to ukcougar.com, your in the right place for all things cougar related, as well as some crazy banter. You will also be able to find all the fixes you need in our subscriber sections. Have a browse around the open forums and get a feel for the place. Remember! ukcougar.com is the only workshop manual for the big cat.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I washed the car today for the first time, you always see so much when you do this.
I'm still pleased with her, 3 little stone chips on the bonnet, and a tiny patch of rust on the leading edge of the passenger door. I'll have to give her a good polish to see her through the winter. The previous owner managed to do some minor damage to the rear wing, shame because she's real clean apart from that. Scuffed the plastic of the bumper and minor dent to the wing where the 2 meet. If I'm lucky I might be able to push it out from inside.

Hi There tallgeese, Does sound like i've got your car, There's receipts for water pump and alternator in the pack, what else did you have done to her. Spent time polishing HETI today, so far I'm still pleased with her. She's due a service, as the book is all stamped up I'm considering giving her to the local main dealer !

I know what you mean, just want the stamp in the book really...
As for low down grunt, My other car is a turbo diesel, that's got more torque at the bottom of the rev range but soon runs out of breath. Driving the cougar is different, If I drop a cog she'll go but she doesn't have the same torque at the bottom of the rev range. I did wonder if maybe the secondary inlets on the bottom manifold are open all the time, is there an easy check I can do?

I did the last service myself at about 83k and the rear arch scratch was the guy in mold i got her off :) does go down with a good polish lol As for other work i had done both break lines front to back done, front pads and i think that was about it, to be fair was just costing too much to run for the short runs i did was a nice car tbh :)
