how do you put an e bay link onto the forum?

Can someone remind me how to put an e bay link onto the forum in the e bay listing section please, I thought you just highlighted the item number, right click it, select copy, then when I go to the forum page just right click and press paste...... tried that and no.... it just put the item number.... what am I doing wrong..

Here is what I do :-

Have the forum running in one tab, whilst browsing to the eBay item in another. Once the correct eBay item is being viewed, click in the address bar to highlight it and then copy with Control-C. Go to the forum page with the post you are creating and throw in a few blank lines and past the link in middle of them with Control-V or whatever you choose. That has just put the text only of the link onto the post. Now highlight the entire line of URL text you just pasted in and click the little 'world' icon with the white horizontal '8' on it ( the Hyperlink Button, when hovered over it will say 'Link' ) and paste the same line in there too. Click OK, job done...

Paul you need to highlight and copy the complete entry in the address bar not just the item number. Then right click and select paste where you want to enter the link in your post.

I shall have to try that, it sounds a lot simpler !
