How many cougars left?

Came across this web site on another forum and out of interest put Ford Cougar in
some interesting facts, i think when it says VX it might be referring to Xpack not sure, also the small number of autos about
don't know how exact it is but bottom of page says data by Dept. of Trans.
remembered quite a while back some members where wondering

At least you get a mention! according to that list, Zetec 2.0 doesn't exist

i think when it says VX it might be referring to Xpack

I bet a lot of X Packs didn't get registered as VX's. Our C1 X pack has no 'VX' letters on its V5.

as said i only thought as to what the VX refer to, couldn't think of another reason. unless you know different (esther ranson?)
be interesting to know, perhaps some dealer's put vx instead just x or perhaps meant v6
if you click on model the info doesn't help much either
but was just interested in total around

Still there was only ever 348 C2 V6's registered and only 318 left (14 SORN'd) or am I reading that wrong and the Cougar2 bit refers to Zetec C2's?

No. My V5 has the model name as 'COUGAR 2' and it's no Zetec.

Just been looking up my other car, and there are 5 the same age on the road, and one sorn (which is mine!)

My log book says cougar x but if you put it in on a reg check system like what Andrew page uses its a VX i think it means 'version x' for x pack

The weird thing i did notice there was one car registered in 2008? and quite a few others registered after the production ended in 2002/03 if you look in the "First Registered" section. Thats were I got the figure in my post above from
