Post automatically merged:

ok i just checked the site and my 1 licensed has vanished...😲

Officially, as far as Ford were concerned, there was never a VX Cougar of any description.
They never marketed a VX version but as V6's were available with an X Pack the incorrect info held by the DVLA is probably down to someone misrepresenting vehicles with the X Pack as being a specific model.

Own up, who ordered one in brown?!
It's either one of the two mislabelled Couger, or a coincidentally imported classic V8.

BTW the ring charts (pie charts) now don't look like how I posted them; now showing red when I copied off the website were like this:

Does anyone know how many 1998 cougars still exist?
The US says you can't import cars until they're 25 yrs. old apparently. And now that I think about it the one model of cougar never offered in the US which I feel I NEED turns 25 next year.

Yeah 25 years since 1997 this year. Which means in 7 years all my cougars, my blue honda, and the van are exempt from yearly inspection here.
A quick ebay search tells me there's at least one. And geez the price its at I may need the coming year plus a couple to afford one.[emoji1787]
