We've had a spate of insurance scammers in this area, but they're usually in cars.

I really hope that this was arrogance or a cultural difference, but if not...

pedestrians like some cyclist are well aware that the law takes their side over any incident involving traffic, so many are well aware that they can do some really stupid stuff and can sue you and win.
if i was allowed to post the daily footage of my work van cameras on here you'd see what i mean... boss says its private:rolleyes:

i had a bloke crossing the exit of where i was working as i was reversing out and he deliberately stopped in the middle of my rear doors as he was crossing thinking i wouldn't see him and knock him ,but my van has 5 way cameras and he didn't move until i got out and told him ,are u gonna move!!
its mental what they will try now ,it happens to me daily.

anyone had the rear end smash for cash attempt here, normally get that twice a month.

I don't think they were intending to procure funds by being injured, merely a lack of consideration/awareness for other road users.

I got the "Go on then - hit me!" again today. He pulled sharp out of a side-road and then jumped on his brakes. I could see his eyes in the rear-view as he tried it. Craaaaawled along behind him at 15MPH as he repeatedly dabbed his brakes, hoping I'd hit him.

Car was fully occupied, meaning that they were hoping for five neck injuries and claims.

He was *furious* that I refused to hit him.

And that's twice in two days, two different cars but (I think) the same people.

I only have to deal with muppets overtaking me when I’m doing 20 in a 20 limit.

When I’m bored enough I’ll upload some dash cam footage to the report a crime website.
But then, maybe someone will do that to me when I’m on my ZZR ?

yep ,be careful out there everyone.
i think its too much of a open and shut case when someone successfully trys this and sues ,i cannot stress the importance of at least a forward facing dashcam ,even a cheap one for £20 just to show their actions.

I mean, a decent cam costs less than a tank of fuel. Even one that can record in the dark like the ones that T and I have, with Infrared lights and pickups in the camera.

Top pro-tip though: If you find yourself in a situation that needs prosecution, read the license plate out loud so that the camera can hear it. Footage without that information is basically worthless.
