hi can someone tell me if after you clean the throttle body and idle valve on the v6 do you need to do any ecu reset? or extra bits to keep the car working, or point me to the correct link for this question? thanks

I'm far from an expert on ignition systems, but I do know that the ECU is adaptive and learns its environment.

While cleaning the IACV might not disturb your baseline much (and is self-correcting), cleaning the TB may well do if it was coked up. Personally, I would do a reset and take the fuel consumption hit for a couple hundred miles.

Hi Easy to do. I did a comprehensive Howto with warnings. Internal construction is several rubber diaphragms and only clean in an inverted state keep cleaning fluids out of the coil assy. main body.
I took one apart and photographed one for you.

After refitting, the ecu will re-learn the correct setting to apply but idle may flutter for a while so don't be alarmed its normal.
