Hi All,

Just thought I would pop on and say hello, I have just bought my first COUGAR and to be honest I dont know why its taken me this long.

The car is a 2ltr as i thought it woud be cheaper to run. I have already been looking at another Cougar as after my 3 whole days of owning it I think its such a great car.

Here is my Cougar and if anyone knows it then please advise me about it. Any engine tuning mods info grately recived.

Hi Ian, welcome to ukcougar.com, your in the right place for all things cougar related, as well as some crazy banter. You will also be able to find all the fixes you need in our subscriber sections. Have a browse around the open forums and get a feel for the place. Remember! ukcougar.com is the only workshop manual for the big cat.

Hello and welcome aboard matey. A nice standard Melina you have there. As Mark said above ^^^^^ Get those fried eggs (orange side indicators) changed for some aftermarket one's then she'll look so much better lol!!! What mods have you in mind???

Welcome to the club mate.

Got a couple of friend egg replacements for sale.

They are listed in the 'for sale' section - but pm me if you can' find them.

All the best

Hi Guys,

Fried Eggs already taken care of, Smoked eggs en route as we speak (type)
I am making moves towards a nitrous kit, bigger wheels, better brakes, body kit (front and rear bumpers and a set of side skirts) cannot decide if i want a boot spoiler or not. Exhaust of some description, not loud n brash just a gentle burble like a sebring possibly. I also like the rear lights covered just showing the boobs, are these a cover or are they just sprayed.

Thanks for the Welcome aboard.

Hi Ian, welcome to the group. I also looked at a 2 litre but to be honest they aren't much cheaper to run than the v6, although it depends how you drive :).
Have fun with your mods!!

Unless you go the progresive Nitrous Oxide injection kit you will most likely kill the engine, personaly I wouldn't bother, Alan (Pid-16v) above runs a Zetec with as much power as the V6 and Bobster the computer admin guy on here runs a Turbo Zetec that is a "Bit" quick :D
Lights can either be sprayed or covers fitted (although the covers are getting harder to find)
Most of the exhausts for the Cougar are sporty not too loud so you will be ok

Welcome to the pride

welcome to the club ian, good source of info and banter, well worth subscribing so you can access all areas, (y)

Bonjour and welcome to the mad house!! Some big plans you have there! Hope it works out for you. There's some good discounts to be had on bodykits etc in the Members Discounts Section and also from Kat Kits of which JJ on here is a representative. They are the only place that do Cougar S stuff too from the concept car.

Enjoy the car, look forward to seeing your project evolve :)
