I know it's still a few months away, but was wondering if there is a Christmas do this year:beer::beer::)

I was going to discuss this with Chris & Tim mate, the Wharf Tavern is available as it has been the past couple of years and we have the Christmas Menu's in and the price is £9.99 for Two courses or £11.99 for Three courses (or just have stuff off the menu like last year)

Yeah, depending on date we'd be up for the Xmas shindig. We had to miss it last year due to brake problems and arctic conditions

Got the 4 wheel drive now so snow shouldn't be an issue :)

At the Eccleshall Show today Chris & Tim had said they had been thinking about it and where in the process of sorting something out, so it looks like i jumped the gun a little bit as they already had it in hand

Probably gonna Pm me then
Boss just reminded me of an important point too when booking up a date, the local motel were the guys stay over night usualy, has offers on certain weekends so its only something like £30 a night as aposed to about £50

As time is marching on at an alarming pace, how's this for an idea?

Is anyone up for a meet at >>Taybarns<< Junction 2, M6, Coventry on Saturday 3rd December?
It's about the centre of the Country with easy access from everywhere.

The >>Premier Inn<< next door is offering rooms for £29 at the minute.

I'm not proposing an official Christmas 'do' but...........................it's a thought

Iirc last year or when ever we went there was a nice pub down the way from the Taybarn that looked nice (we went in for a drink) although the Taybarn was cheap

It was the beginning of the year Matt for the Jcn 2 meet.
That would be Mount Pleasant, nice pub, but for 'all round' food Taybarns is better & we can always walk down for a drink or 6 :)
