To Mark of the Bolton Mafia for sorting out Di`s cougar today, replacing a bent hub which was scrubbing tyres on the inner edge at an alarming rate, Driving home I could feel a big difference and leaving go of the steering wheel at 70 it steered in a perfectly straight line.
Good job well done by a top bloke.
New set of alloys and tyres now on order and car should be back to good as a 10 year old car can be.

Always a pleasure Phil!.Nice to get a chance to chat also your presence has been missed . The old girl isn't bad at all for her age and a bit of tlc will keep her going for a few more years yet. The cougars not in bad shape too!!!!!!!:devilish::devilish::devilish:

It's something I learned years ago before the advent of laser alignment. You need a good eye for distance which i have being long sighted . Also you need to take reference points from one wheel arch to another very rarely does a hub just bend inward invariably on impact it will move backwards also fingers can be just as good a gauge as any measuring devices.

Nice one, another cat sorted (y)

Mine is returning 'home' to HQ on Friday for some attention from the Mafia :)

You wouldn't believe some of the stupid jobs we do take on Si. The hardest job on a cougar is breeze compared to some.

This is the reason Mark needed to work his magic ... inside edges of front tyres showing canvas.

All in all a waste of 2 tyres as there is still plenty of tread across the rest of the width.
