Oh yeh, baby! Coug has passed it's second MOT with me as an owner and it's passed again! Only 2 advisories which aren't anything to get too worried about:

1. Offside (inner edge only) tyre worn to almost legal limit - garage advise tracking needs to be done.

2. Handbrake only just met requirements - garage advise stretched cable - needs to be replaced.

So, I'm a happy bunny! lol

One thing I forgot to mention.....my garage noticed that the exhaust rubbers from MIJ had all split and weren't holding the pipe in the middle of the car. I will be speaking to Jay about this at some point - has anyone else had any issues???

I did have a couple of stretched rubbers a while back - mainly due to incorrectly fitted hangers on the exhaust (a while back when I was complaining about my cat dragging it's backside over speed bumps). A trip back to MIJ a few months back, adjustments to hangers and new rubbers and all was well again (y)

Ok, I would have thought though when I was at MIJ only a couple of weeks ago having the mid box removed that the guys would have spotted this, as they took the exhaust off the rubbers to cut the mid box off and weld a straight pipe in, they then re-hung the pipe back on those rubbers - they must have been splitting at that point??

hmm, thats disappointing to hear Tim it must be said.

On the plus side - at least you have a new ticket.....nice one mate

Well, kind of Si, my mechanic said it wasn't much to worry about as the MIJ exhaust is solid and won't move anyway, but would like to get some rubbers for it from MIJ. I'll give Jay a call once I'm back from London next week.

Nice one Tim!!
Had the welding and brake pipes done on mine today. Retest on Saturday.
Although I'm going to be needing some new flexi hoses in the not to distant future it appears :(

Nice Tim, she`s a goodun

Thanks Rik, yeh, think I picked up a good car when I bought her, plus of course all the new shiny bit's I've added over the last couple of years lol...lets hope she passes the ones in the future as easily, especially now she's done a whopping 65k miles!!! LOL!!!!
