Mot time!!!!!!

Advisories were
Front power steering pipe/hose slightly corroded
Rear sub-frame corroded but not seriously weakened
Nearside upper brake pipe slightly corroded
Nearside Shock absorber has slight misting

I will have to think about whether it will be worth getting those things sorted by the next time the MOT comes around

Cheers Peter, and thanks for that alternator.
Not sure I'm the one to get uner it and fix anything, back to the garage for all that.
The brakes pipes are cheap enough, but a pig of a job I hear, so that will cost a pretty penny, not exactly sure what state the sub frame is in, but I guess that would have to be changed as well, all looks very costly, possibly more than these cars are now worth(excluding all you modded up guys)
Have to think about it during the coming months. Might have a bit of fun with the spray gun.

Well done on the Pass Maurice. That brakepipe is awkward, but a decent garage mechanic will have it done in no time, i've done a few myself. As for the s/f, they often look a lot worse than they actually are, so before another winter sets in, get that checked first and asap. The last thing you need is to be spending money on stuff just to find you need a new sf, although even that in itself isn't a massive job.
