Well I thought I would post up my goodies to go onto my new engine I am having fitted by the Mafia next week and thanks to Dave for the St200 engine.

So I have got a set of Stainless Steel Headers + Y-Pipe + Gaskets.
QH Metal Impeller Water Pump + Gasket.
Gates Mirco-V XF Aux drive belt.
Berli Lambda Sensors ( x2 ).

So once these are fitted to Daves engine I should see it running very nice. I will get a remap done as soon as I can find somewhere local to me and with any luck I should see 220 BHP.

Keep a look out for me then, I will be setting off at 7am this Saturday from Barry to Bolton using motorways ( M4, M5, M6, M62, M60, M61, A666, ETC )

i hope you get the gains you want peter, chasing horses is all i think about lol im aiming for late 6's at ford fair..... i hope you will give the sprint a go if your coming?

I think it should get to 220 BHP, Dave had it running at 230 BHP with gutted precats. I will try to come to Ford Fair but doing any sprint stuff is not my thing at all. As long as it feels fast then I will be happy, not that I drive fast at all, I am quite the reverse of all that. It is nice to know it is there if I need it but more often than not I have got the kids in the car and I will not drive fast with them on board.

But doesn't all this effect the back pressure?

I do not understand what you mean by this ?
I think there are many people running the Toyosports Headers without any issues at all. If anything, the engine will breath easier without the precats inplace.

Hmmmm cant remember who I heard it off guys. but if you say that its ok then i guess i will jump off the cliff with the rest of you dudes who have had no issues! lol.

Back pressure is actually an essential part of the cars running and different amounts produce different results. A freer flow is used for power and a turbine/butterfly or restricted flow is used for torque!

Now that was informative indeed. Most would argue that torque is more important, but i wouldn't know until i see results i guess plus you guys know more. Thanks dude!

Back pressure is anything but a myth, modern engines need it to scavenge the mixture, a straight through exhaust will quickly destroy a modern engine

Seem to remember one of us from Scampton, Lincs did this to his, Alan (Ace Melon) will know who I mean

Love the goodies Peter and good luck with the trip up, it will be worth it, BM are magicians

Cheers for that. My set up will not be a straight through exhaust as I will be retaining the Cat. So I should still have a fair amount of back preasure within the system.

Mani, maybe you'll get to hear Paul's running this weekend at Tony's. He's got no precats and no main cat either. It's effin loud with his exhaust but definitely lacks back pressure. I think he's fitting a main cat back on soon.

Good luck for next week Peter. You'll soon be taking Dave's place in the ST200 owners club. It'll be good to have you onboard. (y)

Cheers for that. I do not think I am going to need any luck at all with who will be doing the work. Lets just say it will be an interesting drive back home for me.
