New Cougar 3rd time lucky

Hi all,

I'm hoping that the forum doesn't operate a 3 strikes and your out policy as I'm on my last life!

My troubled love affairs with Cougars started back in 2003 when I finally managed to get my hands on a beautiful, shiny Melina Blue 16v Cougar with a load of history and some hefty miles on the clock. At the age of 21, everyone thought I was mad; I either looked like some young yuppy or like I'd borrowed my dad's car! I didn't care, I loved it well right the way until it somehow got on to its roof and died!

I left it a few years until I couldn't hold back any longer, I loved the Cougar and my 307 was awful in comparison (what comparison) so I randomly bid on a black v6 C2 on Ebay, drove for a full day to collect it and it was mine, a sexy black, top spec Cougar, all mine. I pampered and cherished it and took it to the Harewood Car Show in June 2007 (pics attached below). Then July happened, some muppett in a mum bus runs right in to the side of me and the insurance write it off; devastated!

Now a few years on and after hours of drooling over every Cougar that's ever passed through Auto Trader and Ebay wondering if I ever might get another, I finally sold the Prius and sought out my new black C2 V6. I ain't looking back, the love affair has been reignited.

Just sitting in it for a test drive was like being reaquainted with an old friend, I had to have it and am now looking forward to some good weather to get polishing and get back to the meets.

Hope to see you all soon (y)

The new Cat's not perfect but will hopefully (and maybe with some help from the guys on here) will get it there!

Will have to get sorted and clean the car up before I post pics, It's one hard colour to keep!

Welcome back don't worry about the moggy being dirty I pride myself on having the dirtiest cat at most of the meets I attend.
