New cougar owner ..... Eventually.

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the help and the warm welcome from you all. It's gone in for a service today as I like to keep on top of things. Will be subscribing today also so there will be some pictures of her up later!

I'd have loved to come and meet some of you but I work alternate weekend shifts and i'll be working on the 6th .... Used my holidays already! :cautious:

Well, I had a lot of expectations when I bought it and i'm happy to say it didn't dissapoint me. There were and still are one or two bits that need doing but I bought it with this in mind, its a fantastic project to work on. It drives beautifully, feels really solid and has a great prescence on the road. Cougars seem to be a real head turner as there's not many of them about in my experience. Also usually when I buy a new car it takes me a day or so to get used to how it drives and what not but I drove it out of the dealers and up the road and felt instantly comfy in it. I've never had a car that I love so much!

:(
I'm sure there'll be other times. :)

Might be a baptism by fire, but I strongly recommend Combe, Jack.

It's early in the season, you have plenty of options about how long you stay, (on the day, overnight or the entire weekend) and it's a big meet that includes loads of manufacturers.

Personally it's my favourite meet of the season, with Cougarfest being a very close second. And that's only because Cougarfest requires me to sleep in a damned tent. :)

Now that is good to hear.
Strangely enough I came into Cougar ownership with no real expectations and came to much the same conclusion!

Aye Backseat, i've owned a few cars now and my firm favorite was the first car I got which was a 1.8 Focus. I loved her until this Cougar came along and stole my heart. Many people comment as I stare lovingly out the front window at her but I know they're just jealous of our relationship

Now these meets sound fun, personally I wouldn't mind sleeping in a tent, changes things up a bit! .... Though yesterday I decided to see if I could comfortably close myself in the boot of my Cougar and i'm happy to say that I could probably sleep in there if I needed to!

Will deffo be booking some time off to come to the upcoming meets! Will be great to see you all and your vehicles!
