just bought a cougar today , it is my second one , last one purchased last year , love the car , but the dealer didnt tell me the problems he had with it so i decided to take to garage where the man said too much to repair , bad rust , so today i bought another , I cant believe again the same thing , garage man said its bad with rust , i specifically asked the guy about tht , it was a privte sell , he said the car was running well , im soooo disappointed , i love these cars ,why do ppl lie:sick:

They're hard to find good examples. You may be better off using a dealership where there is a legal obligation to be honest. It may also be worth paying more attention to the possibilities of rust and issues when you go to view one. A Cougar with an MOT and a price tag nearer to £1000 is more likely going to be a safer bet.

Welcome mate

And sorry for your news, I bought mine and I haven't had the bottle to get it checked out just incase I'm in the same boat. As I love this car and don't want to get rid of it just yet, But it has a MOT next month so i will know sooner or later
