New Reflective Stickers - Thanks Al

Would that stuff bend to such a small diameter add? Cutting a 5mm - 10mm thick reflective circle would be no problem for me, plus there would be no join.

It's actually quite flexible Al, but if you could cut something that could go round the outer edge of the outer boobie of the rear light that would work..
It would solve the MOT issue with the light covers "IF" the MOT tester picked up on it..?? mine never have.
It's just a thought.. the only problem with cutting something is it would have to be the right angle to sit round the bobble.. if you know what i mean??
Anyway if you have a think on it Al, i would be very interested, .. let me know what you think and maybe PM me some prices and ideas..?

what about a small red triangle on the light covers infront of the key hole and same on the other side?

I don't know about others but i personally would like to have the reflector as hidden as possible.. if i can blend it in with the existing light cluster and keep the covers clean then all the better chap..(y)

wonder if the reflective vinyl will take a light coat of tint spray help darken it off a bit but stay reflective

Yup, would have to agree. However, saying that, I'm thinking about removing mine and doing a cut-out (either a teardrop shape or another round booby hole...ooh err missus! lol) to look like the set the Al has on his Coug, which would then show the proper reflector underneath.

If my little plan works then may be no need chap, lets see if uncle Al can have a think on it.. i am sure my idea will work, you won't see the reflector and still be able to keep the light cover and not have to cut them or anything..

Yeh, will do. Wont be doing anything until next year anyway. As after the Chrimbo do, she's going under her new cover (which I am yet to order..Oops!) and she will remain there for the winter, as she did last year.

It will if you are really careful and spray extremely light coats, but the vinyl reacts so easily to the laquers that it melts it.

Cutting the standard light covers imo wouldn't work. The plastic is so flimsy, you would do well to get a clean edge. If you want to mimic the teardrop cutouts then thats easy, i'll stencil it out tomorrow and produce some reflectors, maybe variations on the teardrop as well ie: a teardrop shaped 5mm line? The only limit is your imagination! now where did I hear that? :)
Leave it with me, i'll see what comes out :)
