Hi folks,

Just this afternoon picked up a 2000 W plate V6 manual X pack, wasn't actually looking for one to be honest but I don't do much mileage on four wheels (15k+ a year on two though :devilish:) - but this was a hell of a lot of car for £480!!!

So, got it home and trying to get to know it a bit, found the OBD port, still looking for the fuse box release lever!

Drives fine, accelerates fine (I won't say amazing, I'm used to a Fireblade!) but there's a point when braking, usually around 20-10mph when I can feel the ABS kicking in. Doesn't always do it and it's only briefly.

I'm suspecting a dodgy ABS sensor on one of the wheels (or corrosion/dirt causing it to mess up), looking for any technical wiz who might be able to confirm/deny that I'm on the right track??

Incidentally, the ABS light doesn't come on so the rest of the system seems to be fine.

Otherwise I'm very impressed with it, for a 2 door coupe the boot is enormous!

Thanks guys (y)

Phil

Welcome mate.
Are the tyre sizes the same front and rear? When I first got mine they were wider on the back.

Fireblade eh? I love bikes, but it's the same old story - I can't get one past the Mrs:LOL:

could be a sensor could be a ring or could be the abs ecu, would need to look at it to tell, also could be different tyre preasures or tyre sizes

Pretty sure they're all the same but I'll double check in the morning and I'll check the pressures when I get chance, anyone know what they should be? I'm guessing probably 32 all round?

I was thinking about it being one of the rings too, anyone know if they're easy enough to get to? I'm thinking jack the car up, take a wire brush to them? Start with the cheap and easy solutions first :)
