$T2eC16N,!)0FIZNI6g7WBSPCeZd(9Q~~60_1.JPG

nice price? well that old adage was very true in this case and I indeed got what I paid a wallet busting £1.60 for....
check out the roughness of them (n)

well now I can't have that can I?

set to work with 1200 and then 2000 W&D until I got this

and I was tempted to leave it there for a kind of cool brushed ally contrasty kind of look.
But the voices in my head kept telling me it wasn't shiny enough :censored:

so I got my compound out.....

(y):cool::D:)

Wait..........doesn't everyone wet sand their valve caps........................

Thats the most anal thing ive seen! How many times did you drop them mid buff??

You need to clearcoat or wax them before the road salt eats them!

The words 'anal' and 'vas' on one thread? You guys need to get out more :eek:

As others have mentioned, lube is essential.
The aluminium caps making contact with the steel thread of your valves will cause corrosion and basically weld them together.
At least they'll be theft proof. :LOL:

You may have also rubbed off the anodized coating which will allow them to corrode all by themselves.

Best to keep them for show use.
