just neater, cleaner and tidier

I like what you done to the engine.

however, seriously impressed with those wheels. want some.

car looks well tidy.

yes, I've been photoshopping the wheels for ages but obviously until some are actually fitted, it's difficult to decide
it was mainly as they are wider than the ST wheels which looked a bit slim in the arches.
these softlines have a curved deep dish anyway which makes them look wider too

the UIM and rockers were indeed powder coated - was bit worried as they can blister, but the prep was good and so far all ok

Superb job mate the car looks fantastic!
What size tyres are they on the rears?
Any chance of a pic from the rear so we can see how fat those tyres are? :)

recommended 215 45 17's as onthe ST200 ones, but they look like they only just fit on the rim width.
tyre fitter did suggest next time going up to 225's when these wear out

Tiff, loving them Softline's matey, very nice indeed. Aren't they similar to what was on the 2.8i Capri's ?? or certainly some of the older Fords???

the softlines were optional extras on mk1 & 2 Mondeo's, Scorpio's, Escorts etc from mid 90's
they came in a variety of sizes, also a chrome finish which they also did for the 12-spoke 16 Mondeo wheels
15" versions fitted as standard to some late Escort Finesse models (the run-out model)

I thought 225's too, but Ford's own literature states 215 for these...hey ho, they are on, they are safe, they'll do until replacement time

Just remembered, a little tip regarding those wheels.
Replace the bolt for the centre caps with an ally or stainless one (check with the engineers on here for the best advice - I think the wrong type will react with the wheel).
The bolt Ford supplies with these wheels will go rusty.

I did consider the other 17" versions, the diamond cut.
they make the car look more aggressive and alot better, but they are very expensive to buy even used, refurbing them is pricey, and they are notoriously easy to buckle/distort
