Hi fellow Earthlings of the feline auto appreciation society!

I'm a fairly tall Homo Sapien, 6ft 4', and wanted to know if it's possible to independently move the drivers seat in both vertical and horizontal planes? I have a v6 motorised seat and I would like it as low as possible but fairly near the steering wheel as I like to have a reasonable bend in my arm for control. Plus I'm healing from a busted arm. The control seems to adjust both planes at the same time ie when it lowers it goes back and vice versa. This not meeting my requirements. The passenger seat is totally manual and more customisable and I would like that facility for the driver's seat.

Anything I can do about it?

Danke..

Well, as I recall, the frame is basically a parallelogram. So when it goes down, it kind of has to go back. Euclid and all that.

What I don't understand is, if you have a 6-way motorised seat, why don't you use the down button to lower it, and then the forward slider button (actually the same button but pushed sideways instead of down) to move it where you need it? Or am I missing something here?

Maybe I'm missing something!

There isn't an independent forward slider button that's my issue. Least I can't find it. It's like a combo button. It goes up and forward or down and back in a hybrid way. I basically need it to go down fully, so my head doesn't touch the roof, and forward about half way. But when it's down fully it's also back fully, which is odd. I will have another gander!

Cheers.

That button for up/down is a four way switch - slide it forwards/backwards to move the seat forwards and backwards. Unless my memory serves me incorrectly!

The multiplugs are easily switched and can be connected incorrectly (a la Mako) so it's possible that's the issue

LOL That wasn't me! I won't identify the perpetrator, but let's just say that's the first dumbass attack I've ever known him to pull.

Besides, I got used to it after a while.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the responses. I’m still baffled. I can’t suss it out. Maybe I’m being a dumbo! I saw the pics you posted, thks. I have that e-manual too, but it doesn’t show the buttons used.
I’ve tried to include an image but it may not render as it’s asking for a url not local upload.

Yes you’re right, one button or tilt back and forth. The second button/lever in the pic is the up/down lever. It only moves the seat up and down while going back and forth at the same time. No independent movement. I.e it’s two way not four way. Don’t get it. Hashtag flummoxed!!

Any ideas.
Cheers….

No, I don't get it. Your picture is exactly the same as any other Cougar.

If it's not behaving as per the manual, there must be a short in the switches.

The horizontal button goes left and right and also (keeping it horizontal) goes up and down. The pic from the manual shows the actual switch not the cushion (the shaded area )

Omg I'm such a doughnut lol

I wasn't moving the switch correctly! I was moving the lower switch up and down but not :back::and forth, doh.

The diagram in the emanual I thought was the seat not the switches! You guys were correct the whole time.

Snug in my feline now. Cheers for the pointers!
