Not many Cougars around Darlington (except the ones with false nails), with only one other I know of.
I pass a silver S reg twice a day, between home and the motorway.
Today I spotted a blue one in Houghton-le-Spring, and the person driving even gave me a little wave.
How many other Cougars are there around this area? Own up if you're one of them.

I don't own a cougar but do live in the North East.

There used to be a few that used to come to the North East Fords meets but that club fell apart. They were all members on here at the time.

There is a Classic Ford meet on this Sunday at Leyburn, starts at 11.30. It's a Tennants auction centre. I'll be taking my Ford Probe.

There's not many further North or East than you Jamie, but I suspect the OP was referring to NE England, rather than NE UK. :D

Haha I know. I find it amusing that's all. If I stated you were in the south west most people would assume Devon or Cornwall!

It seems geography stops at Hadrian's Wall!

I rather guessed you were in playful pedant mode mate! It works both ways though, I frequently get asked at work whether I'm off 'down to the UK' at the weekend. It would seem a lot of people in my neck of the woods hold some deluded view that the decision was actually 'Yes'.

Haha you're in the hub of The 45 (some say 37 though)

Scotland is another country;), the North East always has referred to Newcastle, Northumberland, Durham and Teesside areas.

Where are you travelling from Andy?
I'll be joining the A1 at junction 58 and hopefully have a steady drive down with some of the other Fords.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I did spot your car in the car park - well from the warmth and dry of the cafe. Shame about the weather as the turnout was good.

Couldn't believe mine was the only Cougar there.
Should have been renamed Capri meet.
Total of 30 which is 29 more than I'd seen over the last 12 months.

I did see yours. Parked to the left when coming through the gates. At least yours had the company of another Probe.

The meet is organised by the White Rose Capri club hence so many Capris. It looks like the next meet usually August/Sept will take place there too. Yes there was only two of us there today - they other bloke who regularly goes to shows with us was on holiday, he owns 6 probes and he and his wife usually bring two from his collection.

6!!! He must have a big garage.

Am playing on the idea of buying the wife an 02 Puma.

Some are kept garaged, others just have outdoor car covers. I must admit I own two Probes, one of the other lads has three and we have a father and son in our group who have three between them.
