Hi all

Well, this is our Cougar its a 2000 on a W reg with full 12 months mot, fresh 6 months tax with 109k miles with loads of receipts and history and old mot's. drives really well and is the closest thing we've been to a capri in many years. (in some respect its like having a 2.8 capri). but better (y) saying we've had a fair few capri's a few years back including a 1 off, 3.1 essex v6 with 250bhp and more modifications, modified 2.8 a mk2 1.6s a mk3 3.0s... the cougar's better, shame it doesn't have the v6 rumble though) lol
so.. here's some photos

no rust, no dents two tiny scratches which are barely noticeable. 4 wheels with no kerb marks and like brand new! :D

can't complain at just..... wait for it....

£505!!!!

Thanks

Rob

Welcome to the nuthouse mate!! I've gotta say I prefer the Mk2 Fezza, looks a tidy example that. I'd love me another Mk2 XR2 ;)

Thanks guys :)

The fiesta is actually mine, the cougar is my dads and the mondeo is my mums. mk2 xr2's are nice.. however if you want to get one, get one soon as prices for mk2 fiestas are going up,quite quickly.

were happy the cougar and it makes you smile when you driving it... makes you laugh even more when you see another silver cougar coming in the opposite direction with the driver waving at you! haven't had that done to us for years lol

Thanks :)

Welcome rob. Love the mk2 fiesta too dude!
you can achieve a v6 rumble with the right mods, but it looks like you prefer to keep your motors nicely standard, which is also a good thing

Welcome mate. it was me waving today. nice to see another frosty (best colour). i can deffo recomend subscribing at some point.

i was going to guess ya price cos saw it on ebay. i am compiling a list of cougars reg numbers etc and take all numbers off sale sites.

combined with 'cougar spotting' got about 900 at the moment.

big wave next time matey (y)

not having the V6 rumble is probably a good thing haha it'll stop my dad dropping it down a gear when he feels like it.
Its totally standard and seeing how exclusive the cougar is, going to keep it tidy and standard I reckon (why the hell did they stop making the cougar??)

the fiesta is a 957cc pop plus, I bought it like it stands but with speakers in the front door cards, ghia seats and ghia bumpers.. which will soon be coming off, as i don't like the ghia bumpers too much.. too much black plastic.
the cougar is a great car though "tad cramped in the back though" haha, still for the looks, well worth the sacrafice!

as for the leather interior, we are interested however, can't afford it just at this moment. How much would you be looking for?

Thanks

Rob

SHJ - We've been laughing about that wave for the rest of today!!! Cheers mate, see you around Castleford I'm sure - just look out for the 6'3" Tigers Academy player trying to fit in the back - its a sight to be seen LOL!!!

will do mate, glad i made you laugh. it was a bit enthusiast i guess.

6'3"? and he fits?

i just bet it is a sight.

Don't mind the enthusiasm SHJ, just made us laugh because we weren't expecting it and haven't had that happen since we stopped showing capri's about 10 years ago LOL!

No, he doesn't really fit in the back - only if he leans really back and the tailgate is open! To be honest his heads on the roof in the front unless he moves the seat right back and also leans back too! Great fun taking him down to Wheldon Road for training in it though. So low down and then out he climbs and straightens up - car's only up to the top of his legs LOL!!! Got a few looks last night I can tell you!

Having fun with the car already though and your wave today just made our day and proved we'd made the right decision to get the car.

I paid £80 for it, you can have it for the same (y)

Are you sure he is 6'3? I'm about that height and had no problem in the front of the cougar. The roof was a good distance away. I only sat in the back a couple of times but could fit without too much discomfort.

Welcome though!

Welcome matey - nice to have another member on the right side of the M62 corridor - are you a Tigers fan????

Yeah, defo 6'3", he's on a pro rugby contract so has his stats taken regularly, but don't forget that with him, there is also a fair bit of added bulk!! Hence the seating position, he gets in though so all is OK!
